‘W’ZIS?’ - Well, It’s some brilliant new plant-based dog treats!
VERY funky plant-based (and cra*-free - no gluten, no grain, etc.) treats for dogs. They’re the perfect stocking fillers for the most important member of the family - and launched as the country undergoes an explosion of ‘pet parents’!
New British firm W’ZIS? is bringing some health, colour and fun to dog treats with its unique meat-free snacks. Perfect for your pooch’s Christmas stocking, the range of unique, all-natural, plant-based treats are also grain and gluten-free and low in calories. No sugar or salt is added and each treat is presented in two eye-catching colours.
The firm’s name is a truncated sonic play on what owners say to excite their dogs - “What’s this?” - and it’s aiming to create a sensory overload for both dogs and owners alike!
The W’ZIS? line-up includes three different flavours of mini, one calorie, treats (‘Postman & Roast’, ‘Slipper & Biscuit’, ‘Lamp Post & Chips’) that are packaged in refillable, screw-top tins. These low-calorie snacks are perfect for repetitive training routines where constant rewards are needed. Shaking the tins produces a suitably “W’zis?!” sound!
The other products in the range are two W-shaped ‘Dubya’ chew bars with gaps that can be filled with cheese or peanut butter and two solid ‘Fang Chews’.
Each treat features a version of the brand’s ‘fang’ logo in various sizes and forms - the W-shape of which also helps to clean a dog’s teeth. Another health benefit lies in a relative lack of protein (and purine) in any of the range compared to meat treats - thereby reducing stress on a dog’s kidneys.
These treats represent a great plant-based alternative - even if people, or their pups, aren't going completely vegan. In short, the range represents a healthy, low-calorie, alternative to the meat and offal treats out there. Call it ‘four-legged flexitarianism’, if you will!
